Who We Are:  The Texas Association of Real Estate Inspectors (TAREI) is a professional organization formed in 1977. TAREI promotes a professional code of ethics for its members, reviews and upgrades minimum standards, provides recommendations to the Texas Real Estate Commission, and conducts statewide continuing education programs for all inspectors.

Our Mission:  The mission of the Texas Association of Real Estate Inspectors is to enhance consumer protection by providing quality education and training to our members. TAREI provides leadership in our industry and promotes excellence within our profession by establishing and maintaining the highest standards and ethics.

                   Update from July 21st TREC Advisory Committee Meeting 
 
TAREI was represented today, Monday, July 21st at the TREC Advisory Committee meeting by Joe Gonzales, TAREI President-Elect and Mark Eberwine, TAREI VP of Government and Regulatory Affairs.
 
The Inspector Advisory Committee completed the review of all public comments regarding the proposed Standards of Practice. The results of this review as well as the revisions will be presented at the Texas Real Estate Commission meeting on August 18, 2008. At this time, the Inspector Advisory Committee will request that the proposed revisions be posted to the Texas Register for public comment.
The Committee is asking that any comments to the revisions be posted once it is available on the Texas Register. It is expected to be available for review by early September. TAREI will keep you informed as to when you may begin public comment.
